General Plan Update

TOGETHER LET'S IMAGINE SOUTH WEBER

The City is in the process of updating the General Plan, the primary visioning document for the future of the community.

The General Plan Update Process has been ongoing throughout 2019. Planning Commission and City Planning Staff have been reviewing and drafting updates of each section of the plan during monthly planning commission meetings beginning in February 2019.

Those draft updates are now available for public review & comment. The public comment period will close on October 11.

A public Open House will take place on October 2 and again on October 3 for those who would like to view the plan in hard copy form and provide comment in paper form. You can also visit City Hall until October 11 to provide comment that way as well.

A joint City Council/Planning Commission Meeting is scheduled for October 22 so both bodies can review the comments received together and provide direction on adjustments to the plan based on public comments.

An updated draft is scheduled to be presented to Planning Commission on November 14 for their review and recommendation to the City Council.

City Council is scheduled to review the updated plan on November 26.

* schedule is tentative and subject to change based on information gained during the process

NOTE - In previous public meetings, there was discussion about an interactive map for use during the general plan public comment period. After further development, the technology discussed at that time did not provide the functionality hoped for and so it will not be used.

The maps below are also available for review during the online survey.
