CURRENT UPDATE PROCESS
The City is in the process of updating the General Plan, the primary visioning document for the future of the community.
The General Plan Update Process has been ongoing since early 2019. Planning Commission and City Planning Staff reviewed and drafting updates of each section of the plan during monthly planning commission meetings beginning in February 2019.
Those draft updates were made available for public review & comment in September 2019. A public Open House took place on October 2 and again on October 3. A feedback survey was administered online with paper copies available at the open house and City Hall.
The City Council and Planning Commission met in successive joint work sessions in 2019 and through March 2020 to review the public comments and make amendments to the draft. A public comment period was planned for April, 2020 but was delayed due to COVID-19, and is now being held June 15 - 30, 2020..
Following the second public review & comment period, the Planning Commission will prepare an official recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will officially adopt or amend the Commission's recommendation and ultimately will adopt an updated General Plan after all updates have been made.
PUBLIC REVIEW & COMMENT PERIOD

Providing feedback on the second draft can be done through the General Plan Survey either online or with a paper copy.

2- PAPER: Visit City Hall or print a paper copy by clicking HERE. Submit your completed paper copy at the Open House on June 24 or 25, or at City Hall no later than June 30 at 5:00PM.
PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE
A public open house will be held on Wednesday, June 24 & Thursday, June 25 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Family Activities Center where residents may ask any General Plan-related questions directly to members of the City Council and Planning Commission (in a socially distanced environment).
