The South Weber City is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.
– The South Weber City tax on a $345,000 residence
would increase from $136.81 to $273.43, which is $136.62 per year.
– The South Weber City tax on a $345,000 business would increase from $248.75 to $497.15, which is $248.40 per year.
– If the proposed budget is approved, South Weber City
would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by
99.96% above last year’s property tax budgeted revenue
excluding eligible new growth.

3 At-Large City Council positions (4-year term)

If a primary election is needed, it will be held on August 13, 2019.

The constitutional and statutory qualification requirements for municipal office are:

1. The person is a registered voter in the municipality.
2. The person will be at least 18 years old at the time of the next election.
3. The person is a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election.
4. The person has not been convicted of a felony.

Interested parties may declare their candidacy for an office in person between June 3 and June 7, 2019, at City Hall with the City Recorder located at 1600 E. South Weber Dr., Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

General Plan Amendment

South Weber City is currently working on a comprehensive General Plan amendment which affects property within South Weber City. Residents and property owners are invited to provide input by

1) attending Planning Commission General Plan Work Meetings at 1600 S Weber Drive, South Weber UT 84405 at 6:30 pm at any of the following:

• March 14, 2019
• April 25, 2019
• May 23, 2019
• June 27, 2019
• July 25, 2019

2) providing written comments Attn: Planning Commission. Comments may also be emailed to BBurton@southwebercity.com.
