City Council Procedures

The City Council meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at  6:00 pm, but meeting dates are subject to change or cancellation. (Current Meeting Schedule) All meetings are open to the public unless specifically designated according to state law. City Council Meetings observe the Rules of Order and Procedure (rev 2019-11-19) as proscribed under Resolution 19-45.  Staff reports and supporting documents are provided when available and labeled as “Packet”. They can be substantial in size and may take a time to download. Items presented or distributed to Council during the meeting will be added as a “Packet Addendum”. Meeting minutes are posted within 3 days after they are approved at a subsequent meeting(s), but no later than 30 days after the original meeting occurs. You may also watch meetings on YouTube. You can subscribe to the Utah Public Notice website to be automatically notified of any postings.

If you wish to make a public comment to the City Council during the meeting but are unable to attend, you may submit them through the Public Notice area on our website. Items distributed by the public will be referenced in the minutes and uploaded as Citizen Input. To be considered and included with the record of the meeting as “Citizen Input”, they must be received by 12:00 pm the day of the meeting. Comments received after the deadline will not be reviewed prior to the meeting and will not be part of the meeting record. In person comments are welcome and may be provided during the meeting as outlined on the agenda. To request a specific item to be placed on the agenda, please complete this form.
