OFFICIAL NOTICE MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION

September 8, 2021

I, City Recorder Lisa Smith, hereby give notice of the Municipal General Election that will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

Voters must be citizens of the United States; residents of the voting precinct in which they are voting; and 18 years old, or older by the General Election in order to participate.

A sample ballot for the upcoming election is provided with this notice. Depending on your voting precinct, your ballot will contain one or more of the races listed on the sample ballot.

A public demonstration will be held to test the voting devices and tabulation equipment being used for the Municipal General Election. Anyone desiring to witness the testing is invited to attend, beginning at 10:00 a.m. October 8, 2021 at the Davis County Administration Building – 61 South Main Street, Room #202 Farmington, UT.

All eligible voters will receive their ballot by mail approximately three weeks prior to Election Day.

Polling Locations (listed below) will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day for any voter in Davis County to return their ballots or vote in person. Accessible voting machines are available.

As required by the Lieutenant Governor’s Election Policy, an audit of the election will be conducted on November 5, 2021 starting at 10:00 a.m.  Anyone desiring to witness the audit is invited to attend. The audit will be conducted at the Davis County Administration Building in Room # 202.

The constitutional and statutory qualification requirements for municipal office are:

  1. The person is a registered voter in the municipality.

  3. The person is a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election.

Notice of Intent to prepare an Impact Fee Facilities Plan (IFFP) and an Impact Fee Analysis (IFA)

Pursuant to the requirements of Utah Code Ann. 11-36a-501 and 11-36a-503, notice is hereby given of South Weber City’s intent to prepare or amend the Impact Fee Facilities Plan and Impact Fee Analysis for culinary water, sewer, storm water, transportation, and parks and trails. The geographic area where the proposed impact fee facilities will be located is the entire City limits.

– If the proposed budget is approved, South Weber City

(1) a consideration by the City Council to close/dead-end the west side of 6650 S.;

(2) a rezone application for property located at approx. 475 E. 6600 S. (Parcel 13-023-0070 & 13-023-0182), approx. 13.173 acres, be rezoned from Agricultural Zone (A) and Residential Low Zone (R-L) to Residential Low Moderate Zone (R-LM) by applicant Bruce Nilson; and

February 7 NOTICE OF INTENT TO PREPARE OR AMEND IMPACT FEE FACILITIES PLANS AND IMPACT FEE WRITTEN ANALYSES

 

Pursuant to the requirements of Utah Code Ann. 11-36a-501 and 11-36a-503, notice is hereby given of South Weber City’s to contract to prepare or amend Impact Fee Facilities Plans and Impact Fee Written Analysis for culinary water, sewer, storm water, streets, parks and trails, fire, and public safety. The geographical area where the proposed impact fee facilities will be located is the entire City limits.

June 1-7 Public notice is hereby given to inform residents of South Weber City that there will be a municipal general election on November 7, 2017 for the following offices:

 

1 Mayoral position (4-year term)

2 At-Large City Council positions (4-year term)

If a primary election is needed, it will be held on August 15, 2017.

The constitutional and statutory qualification requirements for municipal office are:

  1. The person is a registered voter in the municipality.
  2. The person will be at least 18 years old at the time of the next election.
  3. The person is a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election.
  4. The person has not been convicted of a felony.

Interested parties may declare their candidacy for an office in person between June 1 and June 7, 2017, at City Hall with the City Recorder located at 1600 E. South Weber Dr., Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

February 7 Public Notice is hereby given that there is a vacancy in the South Weber City Council and it will be filled on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the South Weber City Office located at 1600 E. South Weber Dr. in a special public meeting commencing at 5:00 p.m. Any interested persons who are a registered voter in and a resident of South Weber City, Davis County, Utah may apply for the interim appointed position (and who qualify under the provisions of State Code Sections 10-3-301 and 20A-9-203) for the term of January 2017 to January 2018. Candidates may fill out an application at City Hall to be submitted to the City Recorder until Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
